edgeContinuum integrates its orchestration solution with OVHcloud Local Zones

edgeContinuum is expanding the functionalities of its platform, designed to manage applications that demand high performance (low latency, minimal jitter), by integrating with Local Zones in Public Cloud (OVHcloud).

The platform enables the management of edge infrastructure deployed in each region and area, as well as the orchestration of applications over these resources. The product focuses on scalability, hardware agnosticism, efficiency, and the maximization of available physical resources.

Standard interfaces are incorporated for integration with 5G networks following the GSMA CAMARA API definitions, avoiding vendor lock-in, and compatibility with various virtualization technologies, including virtual machines, containers, and WebAssembly modules, is guaranteed.

The solution targets large corporations, and especially, telecommunications and cloud services companies, aiming to optimize the management of edge/cloud applications, whether for internal use or to offer new edge computing services to their clients.

OVHcloud

OVHcloud is one of the largest cloud service providers in the world. They offer a wide range of cloud solutions, including dedicated servers, web hosting, domains, and storage services. OVHcloud has 43 data centers across four continents and a network capacity of 100 Tbps.

Their portfolio includes four types of cloud services: Bare Metal Cloud, Hosted Private Cloud, Public Cloud, and Web Cloud.

Recently, they launched Local Zones in Public Cloud to provide a solution when latency requirements demand proximity to the customer (Edge Computing).

The company is known for offering an excellent performance-to-price ratio and predictable pricing. They promote an open and flexible cloud environment, allowing customers to maintain control of their data.
